Terms of Service

EasyRent is record-keeping software for landlords. It stores your rooms and tenancies, works out what each tenant owes, records the payments you receive, produces receipts and reports, and can send reminders over WhatsApp. It gives your tenants a read-only portal for their own balance, history and receipts.

EasyRent is not a payment processor, a bank, an escrow service, a letting agency, or a provider of legal, tax or accounting advice. It does not move money. Rent is paid to you directly by whatever means you already use; the app only records what you tell it.

You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter this agreement. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for everything done through your account. Tell us promptly at codershawn1@gmail.com if you think it has been compromised.

One account is for one landlord or property business. Don't share a single login between unrelated businesses.

When you enter information about your tenants — names, phone numbers, identity documents, tenancy terms — you decide what goes in, and you are responsible for having the right to collect it and for keeping it accurate. You agree to:

• Only upload tenant documents you are entitled to hold.
• Only send WhatsApp messages to people who expect to hear from you about their tenancy.
• Correct or delete tenant information when a tenant reasonably asks you to.
• Comply with the tenancy, privacy and consumer laws that apply where your property is.

We process that data on your behalf, as described in our Privacy Policy.

You agree not to:

• Use the service for anything unlawful, or to harass, threaten or intimidate anyone — including using the reminder features to pressure tenants abusively.
• Attempt to access another account's data, probe or attack the service, or bypass usage limits.
• Resell, sublicense or white-label the service without our written agreement.
• Upload malware, or content you have no right to upload.
• Use automated means to scrape or bulk-extract data from the service.

EasyRent has a free tier and paid plans. The free tier does not expire and needs no payment details; it limits how many rooms you can manage and which features are available. New accounts get a free trial period; when it ends, the free tier limits apply until you upgrade. Paid plans are purchased on our website, and the price, billing cycle, room limits and what each tier includes are shown there before you pay.

Paid plans are activated manually once we can verify the payment, normally within one business day. Plans do not auto-renew — nothing is charged to you automatically, and access simply reverts to the free tier when a plan expires unless you renew it. Reverting to the free tier does not delete your data; the free tier's limits apply again until you upgrade.

Prices may change; a change never affects a period you have already paid for. Payments are generally non-refundable, but if something goes wrong on our side, contact us and we will deal with it fairly.

Your data is yours. We claim no ownership of it. You can export a complete backup at any time from Settings → Backup, and you can delete your account and all of its data at any time — see delete your account.

EasyRent calculates balances from what is entered into it. We work hard to get the arithmetic right, but the figures depend entirely on the accuracy and completeness of your input. You remain responsible for your own books, for meeting your tax and legal obligations, and for keeping copies of anything you can't afford to lose. Do not rely on the app as your only record. Use the backup export.

We aim to keep the service running but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may need to take it down for maintenance, and we may change or discontinue features. If we ever discontinue the service altogether, we will give reasonable notice and time to export your data.

You can stop using EasyRent and delete your account whenever you like. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, or that is being used to harm other people or the service. Where the circumstances allow it, we will warn you first and give you a chance to export your data.

WhatsApp messaging depends on services operated by Meta Platforms and on the availability of the recipient's own account. We are not responsible for messages delayed, blocked or refused by those services, and their own terms apply to their part of the delivery.

To the extent the law allows, the service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or lost data. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim.

Nothing here limits liability for fraud, or for anything that cannot lawfully be limited.

We may update these terms. The date at the top will change, and for material changes we will notify you in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use EasyRent after that means you accept the new terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of Nepal, and the courts of Kathmandu have jurisdiction over any dispute. If part of these terms is held unenforceable, the rest still applies.
